Sweet Tamarind Chutney         Printable Version

Ingredients

  • tamarind

  • sugar or jaggery

  • salt

  • geera powder

  • coriander powder

  • chilli powder

  • dates

 

Method

Soak tamarind in warm water.

 Squeeze out thick pulp and mix in salt, sugar or jaggery to taste.

Add a pinch each of cummin seed powder, coriander seed powder and chilli powder.

 If you would like a richer taste. You can soak dates in warm water, remove the seeds and blend, then add to the tamarind paste
