Coconut Thali    Printable Version
A Sheila's recipe. Somehow the smell reminds me of Grandma and Gertie and A Dolcie. I like this one.

Ingredients

  • 200 grams dessicated coconut

  • 4 eggs

  • 2 Cardamom

  • 1/2 teaspoon essence of rose

  • 200 grams soji

  • 400 grams of sugar made into a syrup with 1 cup of water

Method

Make syrup, and add the sojee.

 After one hour add the coconut and the yolks.

After another 3 hours, add well beaten egg whites, the essence, and crushed cardamom.

 Bake.
