This recipe was given to me by Laxmi Diaz... It is very very tasty and quick and easy to prepare.
Ingredients
- 2 tins S &W Garbanzo beans (drain)
- 1 tin S & W peeled Tomatoes (chop coarsely)
- 2 chopped green chillies
- grated ginger
- pudina
- dhania powder
- geera powder
- chilli powder
- pepper powder
- amchur powder
- salt
- haldi
- chopped onion
- chopped coriander
- slit chillies
Method
Heat oil 2 chopped green chillies, grated ginger, pudina, one tablespoon dhania geera powder,chilli powder, pepper powder, anardhana/amchur
Keep it on low heat until the aroma reaches your nose!
Add chole and fry for a few minutes.
Then add mashed tomatoes and 2 glasses hot water. Increase heat.
Add salt, and haldi.
Lower the heat and simmer until gravy is thick.
Season with chopped onion pudina and slit green chillies
Cover, and serve with sweet tamarind chutney and chopped onions on the side.
