Chilli Chicken              Printable Version
This is the Shalimar Recipe from The Midday. Mummy has the cutting in her old red recipe book!

Ingredients

  • 1 kg chicken

  • 1 tablespoon cornflour

  • 1 cup soya sauce

  • 4 green chillies

  • 8 cloves garlic

  • 2 tablespoons ginger rum

  • 2 onions chopped

  • 1/4 teaspoon sugar

Method

Mix all ingredients with the chicken and marinate overnight in the fridge.

 Cook chicken with marinate water for about 10 minutes.

 Heat oil.

Fry chillies still crisp.

 Fry onions till golden brown.

 Add stock drained from chicken and thickened with cornflour mixed in water.

 Cook chicken in sauce for 5 minutes. Garnish with fried chillies.
