Tomato Halwa

Ingredients

  • Tomato
  • Sugar
  • Cashewnut bits
  • Ghee
  • Cardamom powder
  • 1/4 pav maida to be mixed in just enough water to make smooth blend

Method

Cut tomato and grind in the mixie.

Measure.

You need the same measure of sugar as tomato juice.

 Mix sugar, tomato juice and cashewnut bits and keep on the flame.

When it thickens, add the maida.

Keep stirring till it comes to jam consistency.

Keep adding little ghee at a time when it comes to halva consistency add cardamom powder, stir and spread on greased plate.

When cool, cut into bits
