Ingredients
1 pav thin beaten rice
1/3 coconut gratings
1 roasted red chilly
1 tablespoon Coriander Seeds
1/2 teaspoons jeera
1 green chilly
1/2 marble sized lump of tamarind
jaggery, sugar and salt to taste
Method
Grind together coconut, coriander seeds, jeera, green chilly, roasted red chilly, tamarind, jaggery and salt.
Mix the masala with the Poha, add sugar.
Season with oil, mustard seeds and curry leaves
Pohe chutney can also be made by mixing together sambhar powder, salt, sugar, coconut gratings and pohe. One small onion can be cut fine and added before seasoning.
Variation:
Mix coconut gratings, sugar and salt. Make a seasoning with oil, mustard seeds, Byadgi chillies and curry leaves. Pour the seasoning on the coconut mixture, mash the chili well and add the pohe.
