This was a cake for Mummy's birthday.The fondant is lustre-dusted with dry gold and then the grapes and vines are hand-painted on.Then again I used two shades of lustre dust for the leaves, and amethyst lustre dust for the grapes. The "lead" is black fondant, thinned and piped. The finial is fondant and painted with piping gel and colour, for shine and to match the wooden lamp-stand.
