Ingredients

  • 1 pav maida
  • 3 teaspoons ghee
  • 4 teaspoons sugar
  • salt to taste
  • water for kneading

Method

Heat water in a kadai and add ghee, sugar and salt.

Keep down the kadai.

When the water cools, add the maida and knead the dough.

 Keep aside for 2 hours.

Make big, lime sized balls.

Roll out a ball, not too thin and cut the tukdis with a knife, a Tukdi cutter or a pizza cutter in a diamond shape .

Fry in oil.

Drop the tukdis in the oil in a kadai, with a high flame.

Once they puff and float, lower the flame  and fry to a light brown colour.
